FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Rice men’s golf team shot 28 over in the 36-hole opening day of the Ram Masters Intercollegiate at Fort Collins Country Club here Monday.
The Owls are in eighth place after shooting 588 [295-293].
Senior Jeff Wibawa and Kevin Reilly led the way for Rice with a 5-over 140.
Wibawa fired an even par 70 in his opener, which included an eagle on the par 5 first.
Host Colorado State leads the tournament after shooting 10-over 570 and leads Denver by five shots.
